The Mountain Opera Chorus is based in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales. We meet Tuesday 7:30pm for rehearsal at Lawson Community Centre (New Street). New singers are always needed and welcome.

For many years, we have provided the chorus for Opera Events performances, our most recent being Verdi's "A Masked Ball", staged in Wentworth Falls and Petersham in February and March 2012.

On Sunday the 27th May 2012 we will (once again) celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday and Mt Victoria's Great Train Weekend. We are very pleased to be returning to our old "home", Closeburn House, with the finale of Act 1 of G&S "Ruddigore" and an abridged version of Act 2. Curtain-up will see a selection of British songs and the afternoon will conclude with a Music Hall sing-along. This entertainment will all be served with a
3-course luncheon, prepared by Closeburn's new chef, Dan. The cost is $60. A full wine list is available. You are asked to arrive by 12:30pm.
